Edge-Lit returns to celebrate the best in horror, thriller, fantasy, and science-fiction writing with another loaded day of panels, workshops, readings, and interviews with an array of genre fiction talent from around the UK and beyond.
Attendees on the day will have access to a wide variety of activities, including a series of panel discussions, interviews and readings with the Guests of Honour, workshops, book sales offering a variety of books for independent presses and authors, and the ever-popular Edge-Lit raffle.
I will be teaching the Creating Uncontrollable Magic Systems workshop at 10.30, and also speaking on the Just Like You Imagined: Worldbuilding in Genre Fiction panel at 11.45, alongside Lauren McMenemy (chair), Adrian Tchaikovsky, TH Huddleston, and Rod Duncan.

Burton Banter, Burton upon Trent
Burton Book Bash returns for its 2nd year, this time bringing you a full weekend of book stalls, author talks and interviews, and book signings. Saturday will be focused on adult fiction, incorporating spicy romance and erotica, while Sunday will play host to general fiction and non-fiction.
I will be trading on Sunday, with my worldbuilding guides and hand-drawn fantasy maps.

This Hallowe’en, All Hallows Haunts brings three days of talks and author interviews exploring the darker side to Derby Quad.
Expect plenty of the ghostly and the gothic, a look at some lost and cult films and much more with All Hallows Haunts, along with a bookstall full of classic and new favourites throughout the event.
I will be running a workshop as part of this event. Time and topic tbc.
