So, yeah, December hasn’t quite been what I’d expected it to be.
It has actually been so much more.
Early in the month, I had a meeting with the events manager of my local library. I went to her with an idea for a small sci-fi and fantasy event, incorporating, perhaps, five authors.
But then she got excited. And I got excited. And, suddenly, I’m organising a huge sci-fi and fantasy con with authors, retailers, tabletop and computer gaming, and cosplayers. And so, a lot more of my December has been taken up with event organising than I’d planned.
As a result, it took me longer to finish writing The Notary of Gotliss Street than I’d planned. I’ve decided to let it rest over Christmas, and start edits in the new year.
