Today is September’s instalment of Insecure Writer’s Support Group, which sees hundreds of writers and bloggers worldwide discuss their own insecurities, support others with theirs, and offer advice for overcoming them. If you want to check out the other IWSG member blogs, or sign up yourself, you can do so here.
So, what have I been up to since last month? For one thing, I’ve moved my website to this hosted WordPress site. I still have so, so much work to do on it, but it’s getting there and I’m already seeing the benefits. I’m also moving forward with all my big future plans, with loads of help from a fantastically helpful and generous group of writers (not that you guys aren’t, of course!)
All of my fears, my doubts about the future have turned into positivity and excitement, which is a great feeling.
So, what I have to say is this: you can come up with excuses forever, but the prize is there for the taking, as soon as you overcome your fear and take that first step. And don’t worry if your journey is slow, every step moves you forward. There’s no better day to start than today. Just go for it!
